SECTION 2: WRITTEN APPLICATION

Why would you liked to become a Deputy Sheriff within the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department?: It's always been my passion to serve as a police officer or public servant of some kind. I was born in Moscow Oblast in the Russian Federation to a father who later became a General in the Soviet Ground Forces and subsequently the Russian Ground Forces and a mother who always took care of me as a housewife. My youth wasn't exactly what I intended it to be. I am gay and that's quite troubling in mother Russia. When I was 19, I enrolled in the Russian Military Academy officer cadet program. I became an officer and subsequently went to the United States to study at the National War College in Washington, D.C. to study political science as part of a US-Russia military officer exchange program. It is there, in the United States, that I discovered I could be myself without feeling the anxiety of being persecuted or executed for my identity and sexuality. I worked with my professor, Dr. Henry McCord and the Defense Intelligence Agency from the Department of Defense to gather intelligence on my Russian counterpart at the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C. It is because of the grateful way that the US has treated me that I became appreciative of their nature and have a keen urge to want to give back to the people of the US and fight crime and be a public servant.

Out of all of the other applicants, what distinguishes you from the others applying?: Other than what I have mentioned above, I'm also a very cool-headed and loving person that appreciates American culture and the beauty of Los Santos' natural beacons. I'm a respectful former Russian officer with a multitude of experience in politically stressful situations.

Why should you be considered for a position within the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department?: See answer above.

Do you have any other Law Enforcement experience that may stand out to us?: Alongside having served previously as a Russian Ground Forces officer which has given me plenty of leadership experience throughout my career, I also possess the unique skill of patience, respect and a positive attitude towards my superiors and subordinates that is unique to my own being and that can be used beneficially in the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department.
