General Information
As of April 16th, 2023 The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department has tightened restrictions regarding firearms safes. Any current PF and/or CCWP holder does not need to change their firearms safe right now. Current license holders will only be required to swap-out their safes if a member from the FLD decides to do a spot-check on their firearms safe.

Why the change?
There are so many varieties of firearms safes that the SD cannot keep up with what is "deemed fit for purpose". Some firearms safes do look the part and have the certified engravements printed on the box but they are not actually certified and are either cheap knock-offs or faking the materials in the advertising.
